Speciality Doctor in Clinical Haematology - Essex Region

Triple West Medical are currently seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor in Clinical Haematology for a permanent post.

The Trust have over 10,000 staff offering comprehensive range of acute and community services over a number of sites to over 1 million people. You will have excellent clinical skills and the ability to lead on the shop floor.

The NHS Trust wish to continue to build their reputation as well as advancing standards of clinical care that are at the cutting edge of their specialty. They are looking for applicants who will contribute towards this and who will help to drive the development of modern emergency care in the local health community.

They do not have haematology-dedicated beds but have a dedicated exclusive haematology outpatient setting where all haematology consultants, junior doctor and nurses including anticoagulant clinics are held.

Clinical Duties:

- To assist Consultant staff in the management of adult Haematology patients, both malignant and non-malignant, in the outpatient, day case and inpatient setting
- Attend and assist at Outpatient clinics
- In conjunction with other members of the team, to manage haematology inpatients. To attend Consultant ward rounds as required
- To undertake bone marrow and other procedures as necessary and assist with reporting of bone marrows and blood films
- Provide medical support for chemotherapy and day unit services
- To be available for advice to junior doctors, attending ward/day unit as necessary
- To liaise with GPs and provide advice in consultation with Consultant Haematologist
- To assist with, attend and contribute to patient management at MDTs
- To assist with laboratory queries and report films, bone marrows within your level of competence and training
- On-call inpatient cover is provided by the junior member across site 1:3 basis
- To ensure all documentation is comprehensive, accurate and completed in a timely manner

Our Client is happy to issue Certificate of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors. GMC registration and relevant experience is essential for this position.
