Triple West Medical are currently seeking an experienced Consultant in Urology for a FTC Locum Consultant for 12 months min, and may consider someone substantive for the right candidate.

They are looking for applicants who will contribute towards this and who will help to drive the development of modern emergency care in the local health community.
We are looking for a Consultant Urologist confident to carry out general urology duties with additional subspecialty interests to complement the department and experience with stone and laser treatments. Participation in local cancer and endourology MDT meetings will occur weekly. There are opportunities to develop stone surgery, novel BPH treatments, and endoscopic management of bladder tumours, including TULA, and advanced diagnostics.
The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in professional medical responsibilities and training of the junior medical staff.
The consultants are the senior members of the Trust's medical team, and in this role, they have responsibility for providing a complete urology service, as well as training and education to the junior medical and other staff, as required
Clinical Duties:
- To provide consultant level Urology on call duties (1 in 10). This will include on-site daytime cover and post take ward round
- To provide outpatient clinic service, this may include minor procedures
- To perform independent elective and emergency operating including day case surgery
- To undertake specialty clinics and participate as a core member in Urology MDTs
- Any responsibility which relates to a special interest
- Professional supervision and management of junior medical staff including the observance of local employment and human resource policies and procedures
- Responsibilities for carrying out teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required and contributing to undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing medical education activity, locally and nationally
