We've been assigned by one of the best performing NHS Trusts in the UK help them recruit a Consultant in Neurology on either a Substantive or a 12 month NHS Fixed Term basis.

The appointee will be expected to undertake various duties within the role, these include: be expected to take part in a 1 in 10 acute “Consultant of the week” rota covering neurology inpatients on ward 17, assistance with Clinical Governance & Audit duties, post holder will be significantly involved in delivering undergraduate medical teaching & consultants are expected to contribute to overall programmes of postgraduate teaching in their service. The successful appointee will also be expected to contribute to: Supervision of patients, Contribute to Specialist Multi-disciplinary team meetings, The provision of a Movement Disorder and general neurology outpatient service and contribute to the inpatient service, The delivery of urgent neurology pathways such as the first fit pathway, Contribution to the further development of the regional neuroscience centre including provision of a specialist service & contribute to research, teaching and new developments within the CSU. The post holder will be encouraged to facilitate and contribute to the current clinical research programs on going in the department.
