Our client's Department of Radiology at the Trust consists of a main department at the main site and two satellite units at our trusts other smaller sites.. The Department offers all radiological modalities (apart from CT/PET, which is sourced from private facilities in nearby sites within West Midlands.)The Department of Radiology forms part of the Clinical Support Services Directorate with Pathology and Pharmacy.
The appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, these may include: post holder will be expected to contribute to the delivery of teaching and supervision of radiology SpRs assigned to the department. As an undergraduate Teaching Hospital, radiologists are also called on to provide clinical teaching for our medical students and non-radiological junior doctors, appointee will be expected to demonstrate firm involvement in Clinical Governance, Risk Management and Clinical Audit, post holder will be expected to provide general Radiology services as part of the radiology team, including the provision of consulting and advisory services to clinical colleagues & post holder will contribute to provision of specialist head and neck imaging services including image guided biopsies and FNAC. They will further develop services within the trust and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to maintain the highest standards of care.
