We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in General Radiology on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Radiology department.

Our client are one of the biggest trusts in the UK and their services comprise maternity and gynaecology, trauma and orthopaedics, general medicine and medical specialties, acute elderly medicine, ophthalmology, ENT, oral and maxillofacial surgery, child health, urology and general surgery, anaesthetics and critical care and emergency medicine. The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties within the trust, these include: support the general workload of the department which includes duty Radiologist rota, vetting of requests and in-patient CT and MRI reporting, share clinical responsibility for cases with team members, in conjunction with other members of the multi-disciplinary team, you will provide a diagnostic and therapeutic service for paediatric sonography ultrasound service, participate effectively in Clinical Audit & Clinical Governance, ensure service delivery across the wider team, empowering and supporting others to deliver optimum services, support tumour site specific cancer MDT meetings as deemed appropriate based on service specific requirements, support cross-sectional Imaging workload of the department by undertaking cancer target, CT and MRI as well as routine cross-sectional imaging & play an active part in the training and supervision of medical staff in junior and non-training grades and the development of support staff, supporting and leading the delivery of education for trainee medical staff and medical students.
