We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Anaesthetist on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Anaesthetist department.
Our client currently are one of the largest NHS organisations in the country. A place with an outstanding reputation. Our client is the place which is taking bold, pioneering steps towards delivering a world class, fully integrated care system for adults. Twice rated Outstanding by the CQC, Our client is responsible for delivering a range of community and primary care services and specialist services to Greater Manchester and beyond.
Our client provide a variety of surgical specialities including the upper GI service to Greater Manchester and a nationally referred Intestinal Failure Unit. They have a well-established CPET service and ERAS pathways for our Major elective surgery. Our data is collected as part of PQUIP and the results discussed at regular Divisional meetings. They have an expanding group within the department with an interest in Perioperative Medicine and improving patient outcomes & also house the Manchester centre for Clinical Neurosciences. Our client also provide cover for a variety of neurosurgical specialities and we are continuing to expand. Our spinal unit has a nationally referred cohort of patients and performs complex spinal corrective surgery. The department is driven by a collaborative decision making process between anaesthesia and surgery to optimise outcomes for patients. They are also the first Trust in the North West to provide a 7 day Thrombectomy service. This is expected to expand to a 24 hour service shortly. In addition, they also support the NCA orthopaedic centre which is based nearby. It is expected that any appointment will have some work in these areas. There may be scope for work in other areas of the trust but this would need to be jointly agreed with any successful candidate and the relevant Department.
