We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in General Radiology on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Radiology department.

We have about 470 beds and employ over 4000 staff.
The successful appointee will be a part of a Radiology department joining a well-established, dynamic team of 17 Radiologists. The successful candidate will be part of a team providing General Radiology services with a specialist interest of urological, chest or neuroradiology. Our client's Department of Clinical Radiology is a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to the provision of a modern, safe, efficient, friendly, patient-centered imaging, and interventional service for a busy medium-sized acute Trust. The Radiology Department operates using a PACS system (Sectra), and Radiology Information System (CRIS: Wellbeing), and is part of the local network (SWASH consortium). The appointee will be asked to undertake various duties, these include: expected to participate in weekend working and cover out of hours imaging, weekly chest cancer MDT takes place and there is opportunity to perform lung biopsies and scope to develop a lung nodule MDT, opportunities to further develop the chest radiology services are encouraged, the appointee will need to have experience in General Radiology and undertake a proportional share of the Department's reporting of XR, U/S, CT and MRI, including Hot Reporting and Duty Radiology sessions & will also need to support the clinical governance and audit for the trust.
