Applications are invited for the position of an Advanced Practitioner Sonographer to join an excellent trust based in North West of England.

This Trust has over 20 years' experience in Advanced practice of both Sonographer and Radiographer extended roles. Support for post-graduate education is available subject to departmental approval. The department continues to innovate and support extended roles with good working relationship with Health Education England in providing opportunities to support role development and skill mix extension.

The post involves a balanced variety which includes carrying out and independently reporting on a full range of general, obstetrics, gynecology and DVT ultrasound examinations with opportunity to become involved with thyroid FNA, liver elastography and contrast enhanced ultrasound examinations. There are 4 general rooms and 2 obstetric rooms all equipped with Siemens ultrasound equipment.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality service to their patients by demonstrating excellent professional clinical standards with the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the team.

A strong support network is provided by the Consultant Radiologists and Lead Sonographer and there are opportunities available for flexible working and job sharing.

The appointee must have HCPC registration , DCR(R) or BSc Radiography, Post-graduate Qualifications. Possession or studying for further academic qualification DMU /PG.DIP /PG Cert.
