An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Respiratory Consultant to join a dynamic multidisciplinary respiratory team within an esteemed NHS Hospital Trust based in Scotland

Due to the retirement of a Respiratory Consultant, our client based in Scotland, is eagerly seeking an experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join their team.

The successful candidate will join two existing Consultant Physicians, an Associate Specialist, a Specialty Doctor, a Nurse Consultant and a team of respiratory specialist nurses to provide a high level respiratory service to patients within the region.

The Respiratory Department provides services for airway diseases, parenchymal lung disease, cystic fibrosis, lung cancer as well as sleep medicine. They also provide a home non-invasive ventilation service.

The Medical High Dependency Unit supports the provision of acute non-invasive ventilatory service and is also supported by the ICU and Critical Care Team.

The position offers a 10 Programmed Activity contract with the balance of Direct Clinical Care and Supporting Professional Activities. The Job Plan and the balance between DCC and SPAs will be agreed upon appointment.

The position offers an excellent basic salary of between £76,001 - £102,465 (depending on experience) and offers up to 50% banding payment. You will be rewarded with pay enhancements for any out of hours work that you do as well as being enrolled onto the NHS Superannuation Scheme
