Consultant Radiologist (Breast) - Permanent position based in Stockton

Our client, a prestigious NHS Hospital based in Stockton, is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated Consultant to join their Radiology team. There are currently 10 existing consultants working in the Radiology department and the successful candidate will work closely with them to provide a comprehensive range of imaging services. The hospital offers 7 day services with radiology support so you will share the workload of the department.

The hospital currently as over 150,000 Radiology examinations per year - this includes MRI, CT and non-obstetric ultrasound examinations. As well has being supported by 10 existing consultants, you will be supported by Superintendent radiographers, senior radiographers, sonographers as well as medical secretaries and nurses.

The current job plan is for 10 PAs but is subject to review following appointment. You will also be required to participate in a diagnostic radiology emergency rota on a 1:11 basis.

The position offers an excellent basic salary of £75,249 - £101,451 (depending on experience) plus banding payments and annual remuneration bonuses. You will be given the option to be enrolled onto the NHS pension scheme and will be rewarded with pay enhancements for any shift or out-of-hours work that you may do.
